- Your files travel straight between Google and your browser. They never touch a server of ours, because we don’t have any.
- Processing runs on your device, exactly as it does with a file from your computer.
- The app can only access the files you pick and the ones it saves to your Drive. Never the rest.

How to use “PNG to JPG”
- Add one or more PNG files.
- Adjust the quality and pick the “Background for transparent areas in JPG” (white by default).
- Click “Convert to JPG”.
- Download each JPG or all of them in a ZIP.
Transparency and file size
JPG has no transparency: transparent or semi-transparent areas of the PNG are blended with the background color you choose (white by default, like a sheet of paper). In return, a photo or screenshot with many colors weighs a fraction as a JPG of what it does as a PNG. For logos, text and drawings with sharp edges, a high quality (90 or more) keeps artifacts from appearing around the letters.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Images processes your images directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
What happens to the transparent background?
It is filled with the color you choose. White is the usual pick; if the image goes on a dark website, choose that same background color.
Which quality should I choose for a PNG with text?
85 is a good balance for photos. For screenshots, text or logos, go up to 90–95 to avoid halos around the edges.
Can I go back to PNG later?
Yes, with “JPG to PNG”, but transparency and whatever was lost in the JPG compression do not come back: keep your original PNG.
