- Your Drive or your device
- Your files travel straight between Google and your browser. They never touch a server of ours, because we don’t have any.
- Processing runs on your device, exactly as it does with a file from your computer.
- The app can only access the files you pick and the ones it saves to your Drive. Never the rest.
- Access expires after one hour and is never stored. This browser only remembers your name and email so you can reconnect in one click; you can disconnect at any time.

How to use “EXIF Viewer”
- Add the photo you want to inspect (JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF or HEIC).
- Check the summary: camera, lens, exposure, aperture, ISO and date taken.
- If the photo has a location, copy the coordinates or open them on the map with one click.
- Expand “All EXIF tags” to see every raw value.
Read without touching the file
Only the image headers are read, so the analysis is instant even with multi-megabyte photos and the file does not change. Besides EXIF (with its image, Exif, GPS and thumbnail blocks), the tool detects whether the photo carries XMP, IPTC, comments, a color profile or data hidden after the image. The location is not drawn on an embedded map, because loading one would send the coordinates to an outside service: it is shown in decimal degrees with links to OpenStreetMap and Google Maps that only open if you click them.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Images processes your images directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
Why does my photo have no EXIF data?
Screenshots do not carry it, and networks such as Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp (when sending as a photo) delete it on upload. If you downloaded the image from one of them, it no longer has the originals.
Are the date and location reliable?
The camera or phone writes them when the photo is taken: the date depends on the device clock being right and the location on the GPS signal at that moment. Anyone can also edit them with specialized software.
How do I remove this data before sharing the photo?
With “Remove Metadata”: it deletes the location, date and camera details without recompressing the image, keeping the orientation and colors.
