How to use “Passport and ID Photo”
- Add a front-facing photo with good light and your face clearly visible (iPhone HEIC files work too).
- Pick the document size: 35 × 45 mm, 2 × 2 inches (US), 26 × 32 mm (Spanish ID) or another.
- Drag the photo and use the zoom until your face fits the oval guide.
- Click “Create ID photo” and download the single photo or the 10 × 15 cm sheet to print.
Document sizes at 300 DPI
Every size is generated at 300 DPI, the print resolution photo labs ask for: 35 × 45 mm is 413 × 531 px and 2 × 2 inches is 600 × 600 px. That resolution is written into the file, so when printed at actual size it comes out at its exact measurements. The 10 × 15 cm sheet (practically the 4 × 6 in standard photo print) holds every copy that fits, with a thin gray line to cut them out. The oval in the preview shows where the top of the head and the chin should fall under each standard; it is a guide, not an official check. If you turn on the white background, the AI model from “Remove Background” separates the person on your device.
Are my files uploaded?
No. ShiftAny Images processes your images directly on your device: this tool runs in your browser and never sends your files to any server.
Frequently asked questions
What size is a US passport photo?
2 × 2 inches (51 × 51 mm), in color, with a plain white or off-white background and the head between 1 and 1 3/8 inches from chin to top. Pick the “2 × 2 in” option: the face guide follows those proportions.
How do I print the sheet so the photos come out at the right size?
Print the sheet file on 10 × 15 cm or 4 × 6 in photo paper, at home or at a photo kiosk, choosing “actual size” or “100 %” and turning off “fit to page”. Then cut out each copy along the gray line.
Can I upload it to an online application?
Yes: download the single photo as a JPG. If the form has a maximum file size, run it through “Compress to X KB” afterwards, which gets it under the limit without changing the framing.
Will my photo be accepted?
The tool takes care of the dimensions, the resolution and a centered framing, but every agency also checks lighting, expression, glasses and shadows. Read their requirements and compare the photo with the oval guide before printing it.
