How to use “Favicon Generator”
- Add your logo, ideally square and as a PNG or SVG with a transparent background.
- Choose the framing (crop to center or whole image) and the Apple icon background.
- Click “Generate favicon” and download all the files in a ZIP.
- Upload the files to the root of your website and paste the tags into the head section of your HTML.
Everything a website needs, and nothing more
The pack follows what browsers expect today: a favicon.ico with three sizes inside (16, 32 and 48 px) for tabs, bookmarks and Windows; 16 and 32 px PNGs; the 180 px apple-touch-icon, with a solid background because iOS does not support transparency; the 192 and 512 px icons for Android and the site.webmanifest file to install the site as an app. Each size is reduced step by step from a 512 px original, which keeps edges sharp even at 16 px. If you upload an SVG, it is drawn at the resolution needed and also included as favicon.svg.
Are my files uploaded?

Frequently asked questions
How big should the starting image be?
At least 512 × 512 px, the largest icon in the pack. An SVG is ideal: it is drawn at any size without losing sharpness.
Why can’t I see my new favicon in the browser?
Browsers cache the favicon for days. Check that the files are in the root of your website and try a private window or a hard reload.
Do I need all the files?
For a personal website, the favicon.ico and the apple-touch-icon are enough. The 192 and 512 px icons and the manifest are needed if you want the site to be installable as an app on Android.
